Description

This bottle comes with an amazing surprise! The 3” base screws off and has a silver sealed cap with remnants of a rubber seal. The attached base jar held candied cherries! Using Google Translate I did my best to translate the label. It reads: For discerning tastes, made from particularly pure filtered alcohol. Select candied cherries with the perfect fragrance are found for this fine Nordbrand Cocktail. Then the cutest thing - a drinking rule! Chew a vodka cherry several times Put it on the tongue Drink ice-cold vodka And the next vodka cherry tastes even better! I have never seen a bottle like this. It couldn’t have been manufactured for very long. Nordbrand is a well-known distiller, and this unique bottle should be listed somewhere but I can find no trace of it. There are no dates, and it is all in German. With an image search I was able to find the Bear Logo - It is found on pg 3518/5213, DDR-Getranke-Etiketten-Museum under DDR Drink Labels Museum. The DDR existed from 1949 to 1990, which gives me some idea of a date, but I would date this 1969-79, as it is in that style. Description: This is just a beautiful design standing 11.5” high rising gracefully from a 3” base to a plastic label then 3 rings, a formal label, 3 more rings and tapering to a gold screw cap. The lower plastic label has “NORDBRAND” picturing cherries on both sides. The 3” base screws off and has a silver sealed cap with remnants of a rubber seal. The attached base jar held candied cherries. The front label has the bear logo “WODKA mit Kerschen NORDBRAND”. The back label also has the bear logo with more information and “DEUTSCHES ERZEUGNIS”. The bottle is very clean with no damage. This is your chance to get a possibly rare, and definitely unique, conversation piece for your back bar.
