Top Quality Large & Heavy Solid Sterling Silver Magnum / Champagne / Wine Bottle Coaster, Cocktail Bar Tray, Fully Hallmark, Birmingham Assay, Date 1992 Letter S By J B Chatterley, Birmingham, England Excellent Condition Total Weight : 322 Grams ( including wooden base) Here we have a very rare, huge & top quality sterling silver magnum / champagne / wine bottle coaster or cocktail / bar tray. Beautifully made with a wide gadroon rim / gallery in a very heavy gauge of solid sterling Silver, beautiful turned Oak wooden base with a large polished silver centre disc. This cocktail Tray / bottle coaster is of exceptional quality, very stylish, and is in excellent condition, This stunning cocktail / bar tray coaster was a presentation piece for the company ‘ Gallagher it was a specially ordered piece, it has 3 very small initials after the hallmark J.J G which are the initials of the sponsor. ( very discreet ) This was a special order piece and would have cost a small fortune when purchased, especially from the Makers J.B Chatterley who are without doubt the finest makers for this standard of quality. Made by one of the best Silversmiths in this field, J B Chatterley, Birmingham, England. Fully Hallmarked, stamped on the lower face side of the bowl. Reading Makers mark : JBC&SLd in a Shield : Birmingham Anchor Assay : Lion Passant : Date letter S for 1992 Hallmarks are deep and clear, easily readable.
